Dorchester is a community in our backyard dealing with constant gun violence. In the Commonwealth over half of all victims of firearm-related injuries are between the ages of 15-24, and we need a holistic approach to tackle gun violence in our communities.
Today, we are reaching out to you on behalf of Lexington Says #Enough to ask for donations for Lena Park Community Development Program in Dorchester, MA. They do wonderful work to support the children and youth of Dorchester by providing integrated programs, services and access to resources that help youth and families to build healthy lives, healthy families, and a healthy community.
Wear Orange is a nation-wide awareness campaign for gun violence and is on Saturday, June 8, 2019. Wear Orange/Summer Slam is a collaborative effort driven by Lena Park Community Development Corporation and the Massachusetts Chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America.
On behalf of Lexington Says #Enough, we would like to be supportive of this activity and raise some funds to help Lena Park Community Development Program in Dorchester, MA. The children and youth of Dorchester deserve a safe community and with your help we can support organizations who do wonderful work.
